The Plot
Alpha, a half wolf, half husky born in Alaska in 1920 wants nothing more than to find a place to belong. However, being wolf causes fear in the human world and being husky shows weakness in the wild. Alpha journies through friendship, loss and trepidation to discover where he truly belongs, but it isn't where he expects it to be.
When the diptheria outbreak hits Nome, Alpha, an abandoned half wolf and half husky, is dragged into the journey to bring the antidotes to Nome from Anchorage. However, his journey doesn't begin nor end with the serum run to Nome. Alpha finds himself journeying from owner to owner, city to city, abandoned in the wild and travelling through one of the worst storms Alaska has ever faced just to find out who he is and where he can feel safe enough to find himself home. From musher to hunter to omega, how many loses, how many names, how many rejections must Alpha endure before he can be accepted for who he is?
